Divya Sijwali
Divya’s journey with Application Ally started with guidance sessions where the team assisted her in strategizing for her major.
While she initially hoped to apply for gender studies, looking at the theme of “empowerment through entrepreneurship” in all her activities the AA team guided her towards exploring a bachelor’s in entrepreneurship.
Divya worked extensively with the AA team in crafting her application material. With a laser focus on securing scholarships, Divya’s application highlighted her academic and extracurricular achievements. The team also focused on using other aspects of her application to emphasize Divya’s dependency on scholarships to pursue a bachelor’s degree. Her decorated background in starting 2 socially-focused enterprises and being part of global change initiatives lent extensively to her essays and application material!
Divya’s hard work and persistence paid off with acceptances into prestigious schools like UNC Chapel Hill, a public Ivy, and Williams College (with a 95% scholarship), the top-ranked liberal arts school in the US.
